The 20-acre Nature Discovery Park adjacent to the Information Gallery, which is now open combines the elements of nature, discovery and education. A scenic 1-1/2 acre man-made lake with waterfalls creates the initial experience at the park. An adventure playground, a water play area and Dino Dig tot lot, provides an excellent attraction for children of all age groups. An adjacent stage with a large group ramada provides an ideal setting for events. The entire park is visually and functionally appealing with its extensively bermed landscape. It also includes soccer fields, tennis courts and a volleyball stadium.
Additionally, a 10-acre sports park, scheduled to be completed first quarter 2004, will feature ball fields and a picnic ramada. And a traditional 15-acre park, scheduled to be completed second quarter 2004, will incorporate soccer fields and a play area.
