Del Webb Communities is the nation's leading builder of active adult/lifestyle communities for people 55 and better. The company is also one of the largest builders of single family homes in the United States. Del Webb introduced its high-end, country club lifestyle concept with the opening of the Terravita community in 1993. In July 1998, it introduced the next evolution of this popular lifestyle community with Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas and subsequently, Anthem Country Club in Phoenix. Both country clubs are located within the company's large Anthem master planned communities in those locations. In Phoenix and north central Arizona, Del Webb's Coventry Homes also builds family living neighborhoods for a broad spectrum of buyers which feature the best of Del Webb design and construction. The flagship of the family division is its Parkside community located at Anthem Arizona. In May 2001, Del Webb Corporation was acquired by Pulte Homes in a merger agreement that created a $6 billion revenue company with a size, geographic presence and product portfolio that few can match in the home-building industry. |
